Trump Plans Second Exclusive Gala for Memecoin Investors as Token Reaches Record Low

The former president will serve as keynote speaker at a Florida gathering for leading memecoin investors, announced as the digital asset plummets to unprecedented depths.

The memecoin associated with United States President Donald Trump experienced a modest recovery from its record low valuation following an announcement from the token's management team that leading investors will receive exclusive access to the commander-in-chief at another private gathering.

On Thursday, the team managing the Official Trump (TRUMP) token announced via X that the president's Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida will host a luncheon on April 25, with invitations extended to the top 297 token holders.

According to the memecoin's official website, Trump is scheduled to deliver the keynote address at this gathering; nonetheless, a White House representative informed Politico that this engagement has not been confirmed on the president's official calendar, noting that it coincides with Trump's stated intention to participate in the White House Correspondents' Dinner on the same date.

To qualify for attendance at the luncheon, participants must rank among the top 297 holders, with eligibility determined by time-weighted holdings calculated between Mar. 12 and April 10. Those selected will additionally be required to successfully complete a background check. The leading 29 investors will receive special access to a private reception featuring Trump.

This marks the second exclusive gathering organized for TRUMP token investors, following the inaugural event held at a Trump-owned golf facility in May, which drew criticism from detractors who alleged the president was exploiting his executive office for private financial benefit.

TRUMP climbs out of low on gala offer

Following the gala announcement on Thursday, the TRUMP token reached a peak of $3.06, recovering from an all-time low of $2.73 recorded just hours before, based on data from CoinGecko.

Over the past 24-hour period, TRUMP has gained 2.4% to reach $2.94, though this represents a 96% decline from its all-time peak of $73.43 achieved in January 2025.

During the inaugural gathering for TRUMP token investors held last year, Tron's founder Justin Sun held the distinction of being the largest tokenholder present, a position that allegedly qualified him to receive a watch that was presented in a ceremonial fashion.

Kain Warwick, the founder of Infinex, was also in attendance at the gathering after acquiring a sufficient quantity of TRUMP tokens to secure a position among the top 25 investors on the ranking board.

Outside the venue, United States senators and former government staffers staged a demonstration in protest, with Bloomberg documenting that protesters directed chants of "Shame!" and "I hope you choke on your dinner!" toward those entering the event.
